The OSHAEDUCATIONCENTER.COMSM is an online education and training program given by American Safety Council for OSHA-inspired construction and general industry hazard recognition. US employers will find training through this site useful in meeting their training obligations outlined in OSHA Standards 29 C.F.R. 1926.21(B)(2).
What Courses are Offered by the OSHAEDUCATIONCENTER.COMSM?
American Safety Council provides OSHA Hazard Recognition training courses through the OSHAEDUCATIONCENTER.COMSM. Our courses allow workers in any environment to understand, identify and control hazards in the workplace.
We offer four main OSHA hazard recognition training courses:
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry

Upon successful completion of these trainings, you will receive a temporary certificate of completion that can be downloaded immediately. This can serve as proof of course completion until your OSHA Education Center wallet card arrives in the mail.

OSHA 10-Hour Training for Construction
This class is for construction workers and those in building development who need to take hazard recognition training. Successful completion of this course will allow workers to understand, identify, control and prevent hazards in the workplace, whether building on a large construction site or protecting a home by completing important repairs. Some topics covered in this training include Hand and Power Tool Hazards, OSHA-Sanctioned Employer Responsibilities and Construction Industry Health Hazards.

OSHA 10-Hour Training for General Industry
This training is appropriate for workers in health care, factory operations, warehousing, manufacturing, storage and other related fields. Successful completion of this course will allow employees to predict, prevent, identify and stop possible common worksite hazards. Some topics covered in this training include fixed and portable ladder safety, dangers of electrical hazards and using and choosing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
